This family geocaches together. Two young girls and their younger brother are frequently seen, by other cachers, walking bike trails and woodland trails with their mom and dad. Sometimes a wagon comes in handy for the longer trecks. |

Located near Clear Lake, Iowa. This cache is a virtual cache. In 1959, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and "The Big Bopper" were killed in a plane crash at this site. A 1/2 mile walk through a farmers field will get you to the monument that was build on the fence line. |

We can tell we're getting further North. While driving through Blue Earth, Minn. We saw a park with two wintertime ice rinks in it. One was for hockey, the other was not to be used for hockey. A hillside in the same park had earth birms running down it, with fencing. It looked like the safest sledding/tobagganing hill I've ever seen. |

This cache, located in NW Iowa, was once the highest point in Iowa. Then modern surveys found a farm feedlot a few miles away was a few feet higher. There are other reasons for this being an Earthcache, but I'll let you read about it for yourself. |
